Using LightshowPi with WS2812B strip

In order to use the WS2812B strip with my Raspberry Pi and Bibliopixel, I had to disable audio. However, I wanted to make a visual display of the audio levels, as shown in this tutorial:

https://learn.adafruit.com/raspberry-pi-spectrum-analyzer-display-on-rgb-led-strip/page-1

Could I still play music and activate the WS2812B strip?

If not, would the AllPixel solve this by using Serial Output instead of PiWS281x?

I’m not super clear on the audio issues with the underlying library we use -> https://github.com/jgarff/rpi_ws281x#pwm
But yes, the AllPixel would work. Or use a USB audio device.

Thanks for the help! I can’t seem to find any place that sells the AllPixel but I would love to support the creators. Do you know where I could purchase one?

Only official place that sells it is our Tindie store: https://www.tindie.com/products/ManiacalLabs/allpixelmini-universal-led-controller/
