ERROR - serial_driver - Problem connecting to serial device
#1
I have done all the setup steps.
ls /dev/ttyACM*
returns
ttyACM0
(I think this is the com port.)

When I run python AllPixelStripTest.py
returns
PixelStripTest.py
ERROR - serial_driver - Problem connecting to serial device.
ERROR - serial_driver - Problem connecting to serial device.
INFO - serial_driver - Invalid port specified. No COM ports available.

I've tried to specify ttyACM0 in line 8 driver = DriverSerial(num = 10, type = LEDTYPE.WS2812B, dev = ttyACM0)
I also tried changing LEDTYPE.GENERIC but still no results.

When running /utils/AllPixelConfigure.py
returns
Error - Serial_Driver - Problem connecting to serial device.

When and where did you get your AllPixel? Mostly likely a coincidence, but I've had one other recent purchase who had problems connecting. Wanted to make sure it wasn't a set of bad cables or boards. Likely not, but helps to know when and where you got yours.

Anyways... first thought is are you running as sudo? In almost all cases any linux OS requires root access for serial ports.
If you specify the driver (you shouldn't have to) it has to be the FULL path and in quotes: dev = "/dev/ttyACM0".

If sudo doesn't work. Disconnect the AllPixel, plug it back in, the run "dmesg > dmesg.log" and upload that log file here.

Yeah, it was the sudo
sudo -s is a helpful command so you don't have to type it all the time.

Thanks. On to more exiting things.
